Privacy notice for Desktop Garden: how we handle enquiry data and onboarding analytics visit materials in Malaysia, including rights and transfers.

What we collect
From the enquiry form: name, email, optional visit type, optional preferred date, and the message you write. From a booked visit: recordings, consent forms, notes, and billing names as needed to perform the sitting. From the site itself: a cookie choice if you accept or reject the banner, and essential cookies required to deliver pages.
We do not ask for passwords to production accounts, identity-card numbers, or health details. Please do not put them in the message field.
Why we use it
To reply to enquiries, to run the visit you booked, to invoice, and to meet record-keeping duties in Malaysia. Lawful bases include contract, legitimate interests in running a small studio, and consent where we record a newcomer.
Retention
Enquiry messages are kept for 18 months unless they become a contract, in which case they follow the visit file. Visit recordings are deleted on the date written in the confirmation, usually 60 days after delivery of the briefing, unless a longer hold is required for a dispute. Invoices follow Malaysian tax retention rules.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold, and you may withdraw consent for optional cookies. Write to hello@desktopgarden.click. You may also contact the Personal Data Protection Department of Malaysia if you are not satisfied with our reply.
International transfers
Our site is a static set of files. If you email us, your message may pass through mail processors outside Malaysia. We use that channel only to correspond. Visit files stay in the studio’s encrypted store unless you ask us to place a copy in a repository you control.
Children
We do not recruit newcomers under 18. Do not send us recordings of minors.
