“They timed the silence after our camera prompt. We had argued about icon weight for a month. The silence was the actual leak.”Aisha Rahman · product lead · Penang grocery app · first-open review
Farid asked six new riders to read the helmet reminder aloud. Four of them thought it was a police notice, not a safety tip. We changed the first line the same week. I still wish we had filmed the old version for the board; the memo is dry if you were not in the café.Hafiz Osman · operations · island courier · newcomer interviews
The welcome-copy sitting was slower than I wanted. Mei Lin would not let us keep “unlock your journey” on screen two. She was right, and the afternoon still felt long. The string sheet arrived the next morning with the translator’s notes in the margin.Chloe Ng · content · community bulletin app · welcome-copy sitting
In March we walked a top-up path that looked like four screens in the design file and behaved like nine on a crowded Komtar connection. The extra five were retries after a bank app switch. The team had blamed “users who do not read.” The walkthrough showed the return screen resetting the amount field. The change list named that reset, not a tutorial. Two releases later the support desk stopped sending us the same screenshot.
We did not stay for the later releases. Desktop Garden’s part ended at the numbered path and the readout. That boundary still suits us: we time the first action, then leave the backlog to the people who ship.
Useful on the permission sheet, less useful on our empty state — we already knew it was bleak. I would book them again for a new first action, not for a pep talk.Daniel Teoh · design · savings circle · activation walkthrough
